does anyone know if poolndarts.com is a reputable website?

also, im debating between a players cc9912 cue and a fury dl cue...any thoughts

here's my thought on cues, go to malicloth.com and check out the F-12, that cue is better than all of them, peace.

Well - my advice is suspect but here it is anyway :-))

I think poolanddarts.com is Mueller Sporting Goods and they are a reputable company.

I can't speak about the Players cue except to say that I have never been impressed with the hit of any that I have ever used. I have been quite impressed by some of their designs and the quality appears to be pretty good.

I can however speak enthusiastically about the Fury DL cue. This cue hits about as good as any cue out there. Here's WHY I make this statement;

I worked the Fury booth at the BCA, VNEA and APA Nationals last year and got PLENTY of table time in with the Fury DL line. I played most of team Fury on a lark, it was referred to as Team Fury vs. Team Instroke and I was team Instroke. We played races to five and I beat Frank Alvarezz, Jason Kane, Max Eberle and Bobby Weimar. Rodney Morris got me 5:3 and Parica was afraid to play :-)) Okay now the match reports don't really have anything to do with the cue except that I am bragging and I used a different Fury DL for each match.

So with that in mind here's how I characterize the Fury DL cue. I did not pick up one of them that felt uncomfortable. All fo them that I used had a nice quiet hit. I never missed a shot where I felt that maybe the cue had something to do with it. I say this because it is often my experience that I will pick up a cue that doesn't quite "feel" right to me and I will sometimes blame the cue for the miss even though it's never the cue. But that's my personal experience. Someone will come along with a test to invalidate it so make your decision quickly :-))

Here's the REAL reason that I can highly reccommend this cue: We were instructed to distribute about a thousand Fury T-shirts so I came up with a good way to get feedback on the Fury cues from players and get the T-shirts out there. We gave away a Fury T-Shirt just for trying a cue and giving us a comment on how the cue feels. We could tell if the person trying the cue was an A,B,C or D player and so we weighted the answers accordingly. In other words a positive feedback from an A player was worth more than one from a D player simply by virtue of skill level and experience. To get to the point the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, which is to be expected when we are giving away clothing. What we noticed was the genuine surprise from the players on how this cue hits. Many, many really good players were totally blown away by the hit on the DL. We had several comments like I would put down my cue for this one. When we asked the players how much they felt that the Fury DL was worth they almost always guessed $2-400 and one guy even went as far as $800. Almost no one could believe it when we told them that the cue is $99. Many people who had no intention of buying a cue pulled out a hundred bucks on the spot.
It was unbelieveable. I would never have believed that a sub-$100 cue could have that good a hit and that it would get such a good reception. My only regret is that we didn't record the whole thing.

Although this message will probably be taken as more marketing BS - it's not, again it's a real world experience with real people.

The Fury Sponsored Wet T-Shirt contest at the Beach Nightclub WAS a great marketing event though and has NOTHING to do with how well the Fury Cues play and everything to do with how well those T-Shirts hold up under extreme use :-) Anyone who wants video and has broadband can email me.

I have ordered from them and am happy with the transaction.

I feel that I was overcharged for shipping though- $6 to ship tips that came in a $.75 postage marked envelope- but their price on my item was excellent.

I have ordered from poolndarts and they are pretty fast. In fact we just ordered some gloves and odds and ends that should be arriving pretty soon.

Nice big catalog too. Poolndarts.com is Mueller's website.

The only problem I had was with their shipping charge. I ordered a few books and they were out of a couple so Ipaid full shipping on the one they sent. Then to top it off I could have ordered the book direct for the same price for free shipping.

John, that was a well written post. Looks like Fury did well in picking you to represent them. that sounds like a pretty good entry level cue that should go over big with the newer APA players who want something better than a house stick. Can't beat the price either.
