I am curious to see how many of you fine players are breaking for 8 ball. Please post some code on 1 or two of your breaks, and the circumstances in which you use them. Remember to include english, use lines to draw your contact point & where you hope the cue ball will travel after the break!

Here are mine:
Playing against against a weaker player for the run-out. My goal here is to break them wide open and run down as far as possible. I use a rail bridge and try to stop the cue dead or draw back <1 foot upon impact. Hard hit:

%`Q3O1%aP1O3
)END

My second break I usually use when I am playing a better player. I tend to create a less spread out table with this break, creating more clusters, and most of the balls stay at the foot of the table. I hit medium hard, and average an 8 on the snap about 1 in 30, maybe 1 in 40 I try to draw the cue ball against the rail then back to the center:

)END
Ok everyone let's see it!

8 Ball Break

For a Front Break:

START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Ph2J2%WP4O5%Xi0J1%[f4M4%\f5N5
%]g5N6%^f6N6%bj4N7%ch9N5%dh4L7
)END

Can be reversed to other side (English on cue reverses as well)

Side Break:

Hit 2nd ball as full as possible with low right english (on right side)
or reversed to left side with low left english.

I use any of these three breaks:

The first break I set the cueball along the line of centers thru the one and sixball just barely more than diamond away from the endrail. I break from the rail center ball.

START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Pm9H9%WB1R3%Xv8G0%dh0^9
)END

The second break is from the side with draw at a controlled speed.

START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Ph3D9%WO3N1%Xg7E1%]N1E2%^N2N3
%dh0^9
)END

The third break is from a point in between the first two. Closed bridge centerball hit from the headspot line.

START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Ph3G8%WP5O2%Xu5C8%dh0^9
)END

Front Break - middle to a half tip above center

START(
%AN7O5%BL7P8%CJ5O4%DL7N1%EM7P1%FK6P1%GK6N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK6M5
%KJ5P7%LJ5N2%MK6Q4%NJ5R0%OJ5M0%Ph3M4%WP5O4%Xg1M4
)END

Side break - 2nd ball lower left so the ball spins off the two rails and back into the pack.

START(
%AN7O5%BL7P8%CJ5O4%DL7N1%EM7P1%FK6P1%GK6N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK6M5
%KJ5P7%LJ5N2%MK6Q4%NJ5R0%OJ5M0%Ph2E2%WO8N1%Xf9E7%YI3D7%ZN7M5
%[C8F9%\H2D5%]G7L3%^C9G9
)END

If I'm breaking hard, looking to get a good spread I break like this:
START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Ph2V2%WP3O9%Xg2V0%dh0^9
)END

If I'm playing a better player, trying not to get too good of a spread...in case I come up dry. I break like this:
START(
%AN7O5%BL8P7%CJ7O4%DL8N2%EM7P1%FK7P1%GK7N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK8M6
%KJ7P7%LJ7N2%MK7Q3%NJ7Q9%OJ7M0%Ph3Z0%WO2Q1%Xg3Y7%eC2b0%dh0^9
)END

Hard Break, Half tip under center.
START(
%AN7O5%BL7P8%CJ5O4%DL7N1%EM7P1%FK6P1%GK6N8%HM7N8%IL7O4%JK6M5
