Weight Bolt for McDermott D-Series

I have a 19oz McDermott D-11 that I don't always want to take out for play at bars because of it's value. I decided to buy a less expensive D series cue that would have the same feel as my D-11 and just use the D-11 for billiard room play. I bought a D-5 online that was advertised as a 19oz but it turned out to be 18oz cue. McDermott said that they don't have any of the longer weight bolts for that cue so I am hoping that someone out there might have a 5.5" weight bolt for the D-Series cue. The existing weight bolt is 3.25” long and weights 1.5oz so a 5.5” bolt should provide the extra oz I need. Thanks.

I'd say that you'll improve your odds of getting the correct bolt if you were a little more descriptive as to what diameter & pitch bolt that you're looking for. Bolts can be made.

PS. Welcome to the forum.

The thread is 3/8-16. Usually one inch will weigh a half ounce. If you have a nut and bolt place near by, get two one-inch allen head set screws and the proper T handle wrench that fits, and screw them all the way in, then put the regular weight bolt back.

You can go get a 3/8x16 Allen head set screw any hardware store in whatever length comes closest to weighing what you want to add. They come in many different lengths.
You can use more than one if nec. Remove the weight bolt, put something like a silicone adhesive or some wood glue, or whatever on the threads to keep it from moving or vibrating. then put the original bolt back in.

I've got tons of the original bolts. I have the size/length you want so PM your address and I'll ship one to you. No charge.

Love the internet!

Thanks to everyone for your input. Ryan at RAT Cues is shipping the weight bolt that I need. Have a great day.
