weight bolt question

I have a customer who wants a heavier weight bolt installed ---She has a Joss Custom Cue probably about 15-20 yrs old,there is an existing weight bolt there already---My question is 3/8 16 weight bolt of today was that a standard size 15-20 years ago?

If you are embarking on a wght-blt change you'll have to pull the bolt eventually.
When you have it out, measure it.
3/8x16 has been 3/8x16 for as long as I can remember.
