Weight Bolt

I recently removed the weight bolt from my jump breaker, because i'm finding I break a lot better with a lighter cue. Now here's my question, Do I need to put something in the place of that weight bolt hole? Or is it fine to leave it empty?

You should also post this in the ask a cuemaker forum, you'll probably get more feedback.

FWIW, what could you possibly put in the hole that wouldn't ruin the threads, making it impossible to re-insert the weight bolt should you wish to sell the cue down the road?.

My best bet is the cuemakers will tell you to buy an ultralight aluminum weight bolt and replace the original with that.

So Cues require that a Bolt Head be in place to allow the Bolt that holds in a Butt Plug to screw into.
