What a Day!!

Where I play at, on the weekends, the rates are pretty expensive. 14 dollars an hour for 2 players. A friend came in, and we decided to play a race to 4 one pocket for the table time. He had me down 3-0, when I started getting in stroke and playing well. Soon enough it's 3-3, but I am losing -1 to 5 balls. I run a few balls here and there, and I need 2 balls to win, and I miss an easy shot for the win. That cost me the set, and the table time was about $30. I was satisfied, because I played good when I made my comeback, and just had a concentration lapse on the last shot.

Anyways, a friend invites me to go with him to a casino to play Texas Hold'em. I usually don't play anymore, but I had a little extra money on me after winning a gambling session a few days prior, so I said what the heck. I sat down in the $4-8 limit Hold'Em table, and I get some horrendous bad beats. I know that everyone says that, but I really really got bad beats. The next thing I know, I'm stuck about $150, and I have 6 chips left! Anyways, I play a hand, see the flop with 3 other players. I bet and everyone folds. It was a very small win. A few hands later after mucking the garbage, I get pocket 10s and flop a set. Someone else flopped a flush. I turned a full house, and the river was blank. There were alot of people in this pot, and it was huge. Some people had 2 pairs, and flushes. When I turned over my cards, the guy didn't see the table right, and he thought he won with his flush. He started talking crap, and I pointed out I had a full house. I won all my money back plus about $20. I can't believe that I did that with only 6 chips left!! It was a good feeling, but I'm not gonna play poker anymore. I suck at it, and I hate the feeling when you get bad cards after bad cards for hours.

It turned out to be a pretty good day. :D

With onepocket you never never give up. Isnt it funny when your on your last ball in 1hole and you make the shot harder than what it needs to be? I guess what I am trying to say is that if you had the same shot in 9 ball or 14.1 the shot would be no biggie.......
