What a difference a tight rack makes

Abe (i4Pool) came over and setup my recently re-covered table with one of his Slug Doctor tapping template and a prototype rack. It worked very well for 9 Ball, but when I got a chance to play some Straight Pool I was amazed how much better I was opening the racks. I guess I'd never thought too much about the tightness of the rack in Straight Pool before, always too focused on just making the break shot itself.

Most certainly, in fact I would suggest that a tight rack is more important in 14.1 than any other game.
