To increase his bank balance.
If that means having more competitions, more sponsors ,more variations on the game he'll go that way and maybe he will suceed but at what cost?
All i can see it evolving under his leadership is it going the way of boxing darts and football, leading to it ultimately being viewed by far smaller numbers willing to pay through the nose via sky/pay per view.

What tickles me about the bloke is how he talks of the integretory of the sport. Only a muppet could call it a sport. It never wiil be and everyone whose ever watched it or picked up a cue knows it's the easiest game to rig there is, has been and will be forever more. All this fuss over Higgins for instance ,so what, leave him be I say. He's hurting nobody but the mugs gambling on the game, and they certainly are not russians. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if half the pros were all on the take via the chinese triads or whatever as they are the worlds biggest gamblers and love the game.
