what are some spots that are easier than they sound?

Giving and /or gettincg spots is fun and adds to the challenge of the game. I mean it's fun to be a rack boy for a 10 but gimme some weight.
A fun spot for 8-ball is having to finish the opponents balls off too before you can shoot the 8-ball. Seems hard to the pidgeon but is farely easy. Another is when an opponent whines about his leave tell him if he doubles the bet you switch balls with him. Then play a good safe and go from there.

Another one ive seen is kind of a modified version of the 9ball ghost......the guy giving the spot gets the break and ball in hand after......all you have to do is make any ball and you win. Of course this is better than the ghost, because you cant shoot the ghost defense like you can the guy taking the spot.
So to help further my gambling career here, whats some of you guys opinions or spots that youve seen that are easier to pull off than they sound. What and why would be helpful. Not looking to rob anybody, but i dont have a problem with outsmarting them lol

(I have been trying really hard to stay away from this one)
is that you will OUTSMART yourself. You will give up some overboard spot to some player that is laying down on you, and he will pump you up, and then take you off.

Giving outrageous spots for low money is stupid stupid stupid, and will come back to bite you in the butt real hard someday (but you will have to find that out yourself)

You need to sit down, and think why for 50-60 years that the spot only normally increases as the money gets bigger, and I am not talking about $20 sets. Yeah, I have seen spots go up in the old days, but it was only for $500 a set or more usually.

You give up all those spots, and those players will expect it ALL THE TIME, and then they will go away and practice 3 months and come back and take you off (the lessor player can improve quicker than the better player). While you are so busy trying to be smart, you might keep a little common sense in it too.

oh i totally agree with you on everything youre saying here. But in my situation.......im in a fairly small town......not alot of players, and alot of nights its either give up a hefty spot, or i can practice by myself for a little bit and go home. Also alot of these guys dont have the money to play a big money set. Really im just trying to get a little experience in giving weight and how to play it, as well as improve my game overall. I was just trying to get some spot ideas other than the usual stuff, maybe something that might help me get even if im in the hole or maybe use on someone whos speed im not sure of.
 
The lord giveth and the lord taketh away. Your never locked into a spot forever. What your trying to do is make a competitive game. Oh! I can't believe I just said that. What your really looking for is a percentage edge. If your getting the weight and find that your being mugged anyway you need to change the game. If your giving poundage and can't win change the game. Believe me , your opponent will want some alterations in the same situation. There is no law that says you have to open your wallet to a player. These kind of negotiatons are part of the pool game and a skill that can be learned and fun at the same time.
A couple of spots: In 8 ball you have the option of removing one ball anytime you want(except the ball before the 8) In 9 ball the same deal except the ball before the 9. It's almost always just one ball that hangs us up on a run.
 
for the player getting the spot?,,,,i think the 7 because the other player has to play runout pool yet the 7 doesn't seem like much.
