What Do Cuemakers Think of Predator Shafts?

As per my original example, if you slap a Predator on a SouthWest would it still have that SouthWest 'hit'?[/QUOTE]

RAN ACROSS A GUY THAT HAD A KERSHEBOCK WITH A PRED. SHAFT,HE LET ME HIT SOME BALLS WITH IT,FOR ME IT HIT TERRIBLE,IT FELT LIKE THE CUE WAS HITTING A BRICK WITHOUT A TIP ON IT BUT HE LOVED IT.

I wouldn't think so. The southwest hit,IMO, would be a combination of the butt and shaft. Remove one or the other and the hit goes away. I would think that a Predator on a southwest would hit similar to any other cue with a Predator that had similar properties.(ie.joint,balance,Weight,etc.)

I don't know

but evidently the demand is enough, that my friend and cuemaker, Bob Owen of Shurtz Cues, has his own versions of the Predator-1 and -2
shafts. I don't know if he just wanted to expand his knowledge and offerings of shafts, or whether customers were wanting that type of shaft.
