AVD is another way of saying "rubber bumper".
What I've heard is that they have a lot to be desired, if you are looking for a good playing cue.

Better to shell out another $50.00 and get a basic Joss or McDermott, IMO.

kc cues

Hey Loco,

Ask around the club, John an Nigel bought some off of ebay. Not sure if they have any left for you to take a look at though. Lisa has one she is selling. Its suposed to be a Southwest style KC. Im sure if you ask her she would let you hit with it so you see what they're like.

while i have bought a few off ebay for reselling here locally i like the hit. workmanship is not all that bad. I think the southwest style sneaky peat hits the best. it has a pin just like the southwest i have seen do..sorta a brass colored pin. several people here have hit with them and like the hit. shafts could use a little better tapering. atleast the points aren't transfer decals. but what the heck can you expect for anywhere from 20 to 40 bucks. I use a russ espititu cue. would make a break cue for sure....................mike

from what i have seen, KC Custom Cues are yet another takeoff on Southwest Cues, the most copied cue in the world. They are very cheap, but the one that I hit with hit better than any Joss or McDermott I have ever hit with. If I ever got busted and was stone cold broke with no cue, I would save my pennies and buy one. You get alot of cue for your buck with them, both in playability and looks.

ACC is right, not the greatest cue Ive owned, but worth a lot more than they sell for.

AVD is what they are calling theyre "Anti Vibration Design." No idea what the hell thats supposed to mean. I don't think I have shot with a cue and thought "its a nice cue, but it just vibrates too much... wait why is this cue pink and only 9 inches long???"

that is to funny! For the money they are great cues. I understand that they are made overseas. If you are looking for something in that price range palmer and omega both make about the same quality cue for the same price.

I had a KC cue for a little and I like the way it played .It had a nice stuff hit once I changed the tip .But it good to have and cue you didn't pay a lot for. ;)
I'm playing with a omega cue .It's cheep cue but plays like a hi end cue.

I just hit with one the other night that my friend bought for 60$$. Both of us hated it. Felt hollow or something. It might have just been the steel joint, which I never play with and already dislike. It just didn't have a good feel to it. I would not recommend them, even for the price, JMO though. My buddy sold it for the same about 20 minutes later. There are many decent prod. cues for around the same price.

I shot with a KC... I dont think they are a bad hitting cue... Not the best... It is a nice looking starter cue... As far as quailty, you get what you pay for...
