Hello guys, can you guys give me your take on ferrules please ?
What are the hit characteristics of the different types of ferrules? How hard or soft do they hit, more of less delection ?
Cost VS. Playability of the different types of materials available ?
What kind of ferrules do the large cue manufactures use, lie schon, meucci, McDermot, Pechauer, etc..
What ferrules are used on lower cost cues vs. higher cost cues ?
What ferrules glue up the best ? Is there a difference in the type of material and if you decide to make a capped or through ferrule ? Do some materials work better threaded or non-threaded ?
I am just trying to get to the skinny on what type of ferrule material I would like to use without buying and trying every different material out there. Give me your 2 cents please..
