Mike wasn't in the finals because he was knocked out earlier -- he lost to Tom D'Alfonso on the winners' side and Nelson Oliveira on the losers' side.
From what upstateAL said on the stream, scuttlebutt in the room was that both Dechaine and Oliveira have been banned. But Oliveira did continue in yesterday's event after that information was given, losing to Casanzio in the semifinal match.
Al did ask Zuglan about it, and Mike apparently just told Al "Enough is enough."
That's all I got from the stream. I don't really know whether both players, just one, or neither of the players was banned. Nor do I know the reason(s) for or the length(s) of any such bannings.
[Dechaine and Oliveira apparently had some racking difficulties in their match, which went hill/hill with Dechaine missing a ball late in the final game and conceding the last couple balls to Oliveira.]
