I cut Moori tips off anything I see.... Replace with Hercules Medium.

I think they are still made by the same people that make Talisman and are really the same tip. I have both and find no difference except I get boxes of Hercules from T.K. 25 tips for $60.

Tiger tips
Everyone who has tried mine is converting.
Guys I know who use a lot of english are cutting off Moori's and Talismans and replacing them with Tiger tips.

you voted for keither - please tell me what soaking the moori in budweiser does to it

It makes you shoot with a sidearm stroke and make witty, entertaining quips throughout your match.

FYI... Moori's are made in japan, and talisman's are made in taiwan...

Thanks

Talisman tips are made in Thailand, as are their cases.

Mooris are indeed made in Japan.

Laminated tips revisited

Some of you may recall the thread I started a few weeks ago on Laminated tips, how much I thought they sucked, etc.

Well, my second Hercules de-lam'd so I put a Moori MH on to weeks ago, and like it so far.

HERCULES TIPS SUCK!

I've used a lot of different tips. Moori's are okay but they're pretty expensive. I've been having Le Pro's put on for the last year or so and they seem just fine to me. I think most of the tips today are fine once you get used to them. I don't think the difference between tips is going to change your game all that much. Sometimes I'll pick up a house cue and marvel at how little my game changes.

Actually I have noticed that with a moori in comparison to a le pro, it is MUCH easier to draw.

This isnt me. I have 2 shafts for my one cue, and I ask some beginner friends of mine to draw the ball...then later I switch a shaft without them knowing and tell them to draw.

They always miscue with the le pro, but they usually draw a good 2ft with the moori.

I've tried Talisman med, Talisman med water buf, Morri, non-lam Water Buffallo, Le-pro, Triangle, Everest but I keep coming back to the Triangle.

Moori was the best of the Laminate tips. Kept it's shape and it had very few miscues. Great cueball control.

Le pro way to inconsistant between tips. Some good some bad.

Talisman and Everest tips... I would miscue quite a bit when using deep draw shots.

Water Buffallo non-lam, very hard. Leaves chauk all over the cloth but gives you really nice cueball control.

Triangle, very little maintenience great cueball control, in-exspensive and consistant between tips and draws like you wouldn't believe. Also holds chauk very well.

I know I just don't know squat. But the first time I heard somebody had a laminated tip on their cue, I was mildly interested and plenty amused: another reason for me to beat them (no, I'm not a good player, but I think innovations and acquisation syndromes only serve in distracting you from your game).

I only use Triangle. Works for me, as would most of the other tips, I guess. But I feel Triangle is sturdy and low maintenance, so I won't bother looking for something "better".

I think Hercules Medium/ is one of the best tips I have tried. I have use many different ones but i think its also like finding a cue that fits. Have a wonderful game all.

best cue tip

I think that moori tips are the best that you can get. I have used a lepro and a few other layered tips and they are no comparison to a moori. There is a new one out now called a molavia that i haven't used yet but its suppose to be hand made and a little better than moori. If anyone has one of these or has hit with one can you let me know
Thanks
