What is the best process for applying slipstic?

Should I let it dry before I buff it? Do you use the smooth side of the leather? Do you have to use the sponge that is supplied? Can I use a magic eraser to apply? How long should I wait before making a second application?

I lost the instructions.

Well, I get very close to the mirror and apply a light coat. Then I blot it on a Kleenex tissue and re-apply.
