I will be on a business trip in 2 weeks and looking to play pool in the evening hours. What is the closest pool hall or bar with nice tables to Marion Ohio?

Sadly, I think not. I go there at least once a year to visit family and haven't found a new place yet. I'll ask around again and let you know if I come across any. You'll be 45 minutes or so from Columbus, depending on traffic, so that may be a possibility. You might have to widen your search a bit.
Last year I played at a restaurant with a sad bar table and I think it's now closed.

Pool In Marion, Ohio - NOT!
I was a Marion resident till 4 years ago for most of my life. There used to be a lot of places to play pool in Marion, but now its just bars with pool tables. I live north of Marion now and drive to Columbus to play mostly at the 8 Ball Sports Bar on Morse Rd.

I forgot about the place in Marysville. I was there once, seemed like a really nice place.
