What kind of ferrule is this?

I have a Huebler I need to replace the ferrule on. I want to replace it with the same material that is already on this cue. Any ideas? I tried sanding these abrasions out but to no avail.

Looks like some kind of crappy plastic.... ABS maybe. Looks like it got spun a little too fast and melted.
Time for an upgrade. Melamine would be a good choice, IMO.

Heubler did use regular fiber ferrules, that one definitely looks like a plastic, I agree with Sheldon, use Melamine, it will last a very long time unless abused.
