What make is this cue?

I've had this cue for 20 years, my brother gave it to me after winning it in a poker game a few years prior to that while he was in the Navy. So I know this stick is at least 25 years old or so. Back around '02 the original shaft was broken, and the shaft that's on it now is what I call a "Wal-Mart shaft", lousy quality, very flexible, etc. I eventually plan on getting either an OB1 or OB2, so the shaft is of no real consequence. I would, however, like to find out what brand the butt is.

There is no engraved name or logo, only three gold stickers. The far left says 21oz., the middle is a rearing lion similar to, but not exactly like the Adam logo, and the far right sticker is unreadable. There is no wrap, just the solid wood handle with white butt and collar (there is about a 50/50 call by my more knowledgeable friends that it's ivory). The bumper is a reddish rubber, and there are no weights that I can find. It is a hefty stick with a quality feel to it, and I have been offered $100 for it on several occasions, but it's a family heirloom now. I'd just like to know more info on it.

Looks like the same rubber bumper as my old 1979 Adams cue.

The threaded pin is 5/16-18 on my Adams.

I would never say my cue had ivory, unless I was 100% sure.

Cues rarely have an ivory butt cap or joint collar.

People use the word ivory tooooo much.

It's not really important to me if it's ivory or not. Considering the ivory trade, I'd probably prefer it not be. Doesn't make it "worth more" to me. I know the few people that have examined it have discussed whether or not it was, that's why I mentioned it.

I originally thought it was an Adam cue, but in the Blue Book all of the Adam cues were linen wrapped. In all my searches, I've never seen a "plain" Adam, and they all had larger lion logos, some with "Adam" underneath. And the only Adam I've seen in person had the lion embellished directly into the butt and was missing the bumper.

I believe my stick is 5/16-18, or "Meucci" thread as I was told. (still a newb at a lot of this.) I'll have to verify that before ordering an OB for it.

Thanks for the input!

Thanks. Any idea on how I can find out more info on it? The Blue Book wasn't very helpful, didn't even show any unwrapped cues or cues that did not have the logo etched into the butt.

I actually like the fact that it's plain, no wrap, points, etc. However, that very lack of ornamentation has made it hard to identify.

Well...Okay... It is an S/T-1 Chimaera :D

I know this thread is 13 years old, but I have what I think is the exact same model cue out for delivery today! I will post some pics once I get it. Mine has the same 3 stickers on the butt cap, and one of them is a clearly readable sticker of the model. Stay tuned for pics!
