What Model Olhausen is This?

it's 90 miles away but might be worth it for $100.00. does anyone know what model Olhausen this is? the pics he sent of the slate show that they are particle board backed which i may have to replace but at least they are backed.

it's hard to see if the slate seams are badly chipped. i'm going to have to call him again. if that edge is as bad OR WORSE than it looks in the pics, i don't want to drive 180 miles round trip for it. it might just be plaster but what a mess.

also.... it looks like there are holes drilled in the slate at the seam on the playing surface.

the brass label looks worn like it's an older table that has been played on a lot.

**I'm not a mechanic**

I would think that particle board slate backing isn't great for stapling into, more than once or twice.

What say you, actual mechanics?

More trouble than its worth. I'd pass.

yeah, i did pass. if it were close, i'd go look at it and maybe try to haul it away for free but it's not worth driving 200 miles round-trip. plus the slate seam looks bad and there may be holes drilled into the playing surface. thanks for the input.

The seam looks to me like plaster over wax. Should scrape right off. The holes are for the center slate screws. That's how Olhausens are designed.

What does concern me, is that it looks like the legs are missing the bottom caps. I don't know much about the specifics of this particular model, but most Olhausens have a base cap under the legs. It adds strength and makes it much easier to level.
