What size lights for a 9' table?

looking for some advice on what size lighting would be most appropriate
for a 9' table--- getting a 9footer installed and now looking at lighting...
it seems everything is either 4' or 8' ......
4' seems maybe too small for a large table, and all the 8footers look
too commercial ... this is for a suspended ceiling, 7 1/2 height....
maybe the built-in overhead flourescents will be sufficient? - not as cool
as a real pool table light tho

For around $100.00 I ended up with two four-foot lights (placed end to end and each containing four [small diameter] flourescent bulbs with the diffuser panels) that work
really well. They're just over one foot wide.

I don't remember now if they came from Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm sure both
places have them.

This might not be what you're looking for, but it's an option.

Two 4 foot long units with 4 bulbs each does the trick.
