i have about 300 bucks to spend on a cue new or used whats the best bang for my buck? i was thinking a used predator or an old meucci original

im a good shot already with some experience but im looking to sell my joss for something with a little better hit so maybe even 500 bucks for a samsara bar cue would be ideal but im not sure how they hit

If your using a Joss....keep the $300. For that money I would recommend a good Joss, Schon or McDermott so you are all set already.

If you go $500, you can get a good used plain Jane custom cue....and that is a whole other ballgame. $500 can get you a really good used custom cue if you do your homework...maybe even new from a few guys.

Joss

I have one schon,2 Joss,2 Dale Perry ,2 meucci cues and other cues. The joss and schon have a hard hit,Dale Perry has a softer hit but i love the feel.Meucci I like the older Meucci original O better then my new meucci but both play very good. meucci's hit little harder then the Dale perry.I would try several different cues before you buy.The right hit for you will be different for someone else.

As others have pointed out, hit is subjective. You will find something different than your Joss, but better will be for you to decide. Other options to consider are a new LD shaft (Predator, OB, et al.) or a new tip for your current cue. I've had my Joss for 26 years. New tips for the old shafts and a new Predator shaft give me lots of options. The original cue had a pretty large weight bolt. Lightening it had an impact, too.

If you're looking for an old Meucci, consider one of their sneaky petes, too. I have one from around 1990. Still straight and great to play with. I prefer the finish on the SP.

I recommend a Schon, you should be able to find a good used one for that price...

Here's one I just finished

You didn't specify exactly what your looking for in a cue, so I just thought I'd throw this one up for your consideration.

I offer a money-back guarantee on all my cues. If you don't like the cue after you receive it, return it in original condition and I'll refund
your money (minus shipping costs). I've never had anyone take me up on the offer.
