What to do with Stephen Lee ?

Well , somebody's gotta ask the question now that he's been found out to be a naughty boy & rigged matches & conned the paying public & armchair viewers & the betting punters who weren't to know he was at it but worst of all he disgraced the game of Snooker.

So should Stephen Lee get banned for life ?

I kinda like Clive Everton's call for at least a 5 year ban as Stephen Lee would spend the years watching his ranking slide into oblivion & as Clive said let's face it he would be 43 by the time he got back & that many years out the game would mean he is finished anyway.

You have until 24/09/2013 to have your say !

Have fun but keep it clean !:D:thumbup:

Well, a 12 year ban so he's done until his 50th birthday. And more than likely by which point he'll be nowhere near the standard he was.
In all fairness I actually think it's quite leniant, which is sad to say as he is a tremendous player. What is everyone else's opinion on this?

Here's the link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/24223268

Just as a side to this, with him being banned from all WPBSA events, do people think that should extend to ALL cuesports? Since the ban he has been playing a little on the GB9 tour in the UK, just really wondering what other people thought of this.

No, banning from snooker is enough of a punishment. It severely limits his income as professional snooker is by far the most lucrative endeavor one can undertake, assuming you have the requisite skill to take advantage of such an opportunity, which he clearly does.

Extending such a ban to pool I think would be overkill. No need to stop the man making a living doing what he knows how to do best. I think it would be like banning a player from tennis and then the badminton association upholds the ban as well.

Stephen Lee's future

Well he says he will appeal his 12 year ban & thinks he was misrepresented @ the time of the 1st hearing & should've had a lawyer from day 1 .

I dont think he has any future in Snooker & he's blown it bigtime .

You wouldn't want to know his opinions if he became a Snooker pundit or had a commentary job etc .

I dunno what his future is but he brought it on himself & must've known the consequences for his actions.
