What wrap lasts longer?

Given normal usage, and sweaty hands, what wrap do you think lasts longest before it it either starts to look / feel bad before it needs to be replaced. I have one linen cue that didn't last too long and got really really rough to the touch, feels like burlap. Another linen wrap I have was pressed and very very shiny and now that one is extremely dull, but not rough. I've never tried a lizard or leather wrap, however I have heard that lizard wraps get smooth and lose thier texture, and I have seen leather wraps come apart at the seem. I don't know if this is normal wear or bad care? (hey that rhymes!) Anyone have an opinion on these wraps?
 
I have played with the same cue off and on for the last 12 years and it has an Irish Linen wrap. It is dull now, but is still very smooth.

The thing that bugs me most about the linen is that it holds the odor of cigarette smoke like nobody's business. I pull the cue out of the case at home and it's like I never left the pool hall.

I wonder if leather or lizard would be different.
 
If you sweat a lot, Try pig skin or real elephant, they tend to last longer with excessive moisture.
 
Think your is a Tough Question, as everyone SWEAT is either Acidity, or Alkaline. I have very Acidity Sweat to the Point I can Tarnish a Stainless Steel Watch Band with my SWEAT.

I am hard on ALL Wraps, or Wrapless Cues, and try to keep my hands dry with a Clean Soft Towel While playing....:) :mad:

They both write they’re congressmen and senators about being FORCED into a smoky environment. The pig of course is worried about his butt and the elephant claims he could live to be 300 years if it wasn’t for the smoke.

I don't think there is anything that the smell of cigarettes and cigars can't penetrate.
