whats the motivation

reading the jasmin thread 2 things came to mind.
1 Az has got to or should have some power in the world of billiards.
2 What was (is) the motivation behind it ?
i dont know if mr wilson is (if thats what you would call) the owner of the site. but i would be interested to know what started it and what keeps it going.if its just the plain love of billiards thats great...it must take up some of his time.hopfully there is some compensation for all his work..
i thought i saw a thread once about a az tour,that would be neat but if the $ was around i would vote for a az sponsored junior program.
