Where to find the best variety of cues in Chicago?

Hi all,

Where are the best places in the Chicagoland area to handle the greatest selection of pool cues? I'm currently playing with a standard house cue and would like to get a feel for what else is out there. Thanks!

yeah, too bad most places don't have any "pro shop". Missed opportunity by many pool rooms imho.

Just wait for the next cue show in Addison, and you can try all sorts of cues. Not sure if they are having another one this fall or not.

If you're out near the Northwest suburbs, Steve at TJSnicker's Grill has about 20-30 in a display case. I'm not familiar with his inventory but I know he has Player's and a lot of customs. He runs the Pro Shop on a partime basis so you'll need to contact him to arrange a time. I'll PM his contact info.

If you're going to be there, let me know when, and you can try my OB121/OB2.

Farhan.....you are approaching this the right way..........find out what's available and check out as many cue-makers as possible.

Not exactly "local to Chi-town", but if you go straight do 55 to Springfield. Check out Nielsen's Billiards. Joe and Kathy run a top notch place, and have upwards of 1,000 cues on hand at any given time. Good people, great prices!
he also has an ebay store if you want to check out some of what he has before you make the trek down the highway

Too bad Ray Schuler's dead. I've got several of his cues and I like them. Ray was from Chicago.
