Hey board!
I'll be in Houston all week.
I was wondering, if anyone could suggest,
where I might find a good place to shoot.
and maybe some friendly(cheap) action.

Thanks,
Troy

Houston is a BIG place. What part of Houston will you be in?

Louisiana st. downtown Houston

I was in downtown Houston a summer or two ago. Slick Willie's at 560 Texas St is convenient. But the tables weren't in good shape (slow, with dead rails and big pockets) and there didn't look to be any action. Better than nothing, though. I was surprised it wasn't better because the old Slick Willie's on Westheimer was, back in the day, a good room with action nearly around the clock.

Good luck.

Hopefully you will have a rental car!

As someone said earlier, Bogies. it's on 1960 on the North side. Also on 1960 is Fast Eddies, Used to be some soft action there on Wed night. Also on 1960 is Cue Stix, which is owned by Bobby Rone who is organizing the The World Classic down on Galveston.

3 on FM1960 - Don't bother going to Barney's

Bogies - 281- 821-4544

Fast Eddies - 281-586-8077

Cue Stix - 281-580-0880

South - League City

Legends Billiards - 281-332-7716

More South - San Leon

Caspers - 281 559-1400

Give me a call if you like, maybe I can hook you up with someone who knows even more places.

There is a place called Rose Country that has some pretty good bar table tourneys too!

I'm in Houston again this week too. Been here twice in the last 6 weeks or so, went to Bogie's each time. Played in the 9 ball tourney there on Thursday night a month ago, a few decent players and a good cheap tourney. Probably heading there again tonight, I think they have an 8 ball tourney so if I get there on time I'll probably play. I think the level of play is a little less than the 9 ball tourney (less money), but it will still be nice to work on my 8 ball game a bit as I hardly play.

If anyone is around let me know, maybe we can play some...

Sorry, didn't see your post in time. I was there last night for 2 hours or so, from about 7 to about 9. Can't make it tonight, heading back home. Not sure when I'll be back in town, might be a month or two, but I'll check back in...

I lived in Mont Beliveu, (35 miles east of downtown), for a year. There were no pool halls to speak of on the east side. One day I decided to take a ride up north to Bogies about 50 miles from the house. It was a great room, open 24/7, great equipment, and plenty of action. I was so pissed off that I lived so far away. A couple of months later I took a ride out to Legends in League City, same deal, great room but 50 miles away.

Someone needs to put a poolhall in Baytown, there's nothing to do there, and tons of plant workers with money in their pockets looking to spend it.

Just let me know when you're ready!
