Where to shoot in Philly

Been a long time since I've posted here. I moved to Philly last year and am finally looking to start shooting pool again.

The only thing is I can't seem to find any true pool halls in the city. There's Buffalo Billiards, but I'd rather not be surrounded by people on dates.

I know of some places outside the city but I'd rather not drive 20-30 miles to shoot.

Anyone know of any place that they'd suggest?

Thanks,
Alan

Depending on what part of the city you're coming from there's Drexeline like michaeldane said or Pete Fusco's The Spot on Bristol Road in Trevose.

Heard rumors Tacony was supposed to open in a new location but nothing yet....

I got to say Classic Billiards out in Phoenixville always has a few shooters. Markleys out in Norristown is hit or miss but the owner will usually play some sets for a fair price or one pocket.

Heard good things about Classic Billiards and Markleys, but right now those are a little farther than I'd like to travel. I do have a car, but I find it amazing that a city the size of Philly doesn't have a couple of old-school places in town.

Drexeline is only 7 miles away, which is a lot more reasonable than 20 miles to get to Phoenixville.

Thanks all!
