Which dot?

I'm thinking about ordering a replacement shaft for one of my old Meucci cues. Which dot is best? I understand the black dot is suppose to be less deflection....is there any other difference?

Also, for those of you who have them and know, is the original (old) shaft without dots better than the shafts with dots? My old shaft is a little bit warped (maybe a couple millimeters).

I had a red dot shaft that warped inside of four months...The butt design is why I bought the thing in the first place...will never do that again! I wasn't going to take the chance on another Meucci shaft, so I had one custom made.
That was three years ago and I now like the cue.

A Phillippi fan here, I really like the Meucci butts, especially their 2- and 3-point butts, but don't care for their whippy shafts.

If I were to buy a Meucci nowadays, I'd hold out for getting an old Meucci with the logo printed in bold block lettering on the white buttcap.
