I was watching the Earl Strickland vs. Corey Deuel match on the Sunshine Network just now (it's on again at 10:00 p.m.) where they go hill-hill in the race to 11 at the U.S.Open. During one of the commercials (the Simonis commercial), Ivan is extolling the qualities of Simonis cloth and a gentleman in a red shirt is standing next to him, but with his side/back to the camera. This person is a frequent poster on playpool.com, the CCB and here at AzBilliards. Who IS IT ? (I know, but do you ?)

Doug, Galaxi Cable lost the video for the Earl/Cory match in our area and it is not scheduled here for 10pm but is at noon tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up. I imagine that you know the answer to this quiz, so give some others a few guesses first. Here's a clue: This poster has posted more than 50 times since AzB has switched to this new format... (possibly, he hasn't seen these matches and has no idea that he's on tv each week)..

Doug, I usually record the matches and watch them later while I am transferring them to another tape. Today at noon I was watching it while it was recording and happened to remember what you said when the Simonis commercial came on and behind him was the guy in the red shirt and then to our left was another guy with the light blue or grey shirt with his back to the camera. Is that Ken? That commercial is on every time. Unfortunately, I had stop the recorder when the commercials came on so I couldn't go back and rewatch it. Does Ken get royalties? LOL Jake

Doug, You are correct. I have seen that commercial and have a recording of it but never noticed. That would probably be following Strickland's win in 2001 but could be after Hall's in '98. I believe Barry provided champagne cocktails after each event. I still have a couple glasses.

It's interesting that they would block out the design on the tee shirt of the guy on the left but as soon as I walked over there they were quick to show me imbibing in an alcoholic beverage.

One of my best haircuts I must admit. (do them myself)
