Who made this cue?

I bought this cue 11 years ago at Tablesteaks in Denver, CO, from a guy for $700. I have been told it is an early Ernie Martinez, and probably worth about $1200. I have tried to contact Ernie, but cannot get a hold of him. I was just wondering if anybody here has any good guesses. Thanks

Ernie is on the lamb, plus it doesn't look like an early EM, which by the way would be a Showcase since that's where he did his early work. I'd guess that the cue at one time was worth about 700 since that's what you paid. If you want to know it's value today try to sell it and you'll have a better idea.
