Does anyone know the final results of this last big Tournament Held at Breakers in Kelowna? I was there and went out 2 straight, and i never came back the next day to see who won. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Mike vidas won it, I believe he played Brian in the final.
I was already in my own bed by then, but I got the info from my travelling partner when he got back on Monday.
What a weekend of 9-ball we had at the new Breakers Billiards in Kelowna, BC. This is a tournament room at it's finest. Russ and Glenda Acton were the perfect hosts, the food was great, the equipment was in excellent condition, the Calcutta had over $8000 in the pool and everyone had a terrific time. Watch for the official article and pictures which will be in the next issues of Chalk and Cue and On The Wire.
Mike Vidas from Vancouver BC beat Brian Butler from Atlanta, Georgia in the final with a score of 11-9. Kevin Robitaille from Victoria, BC was 3rd. The story of the tournament was Brady Gollan buying Brian Butler in the Calcutta for $20 and his 2nd place finish was rewarded with over $1800 in the Calcutta.
We would like to thank all the players that attended our first 9 ball open tournament. It was considered a hugh success with the players as well with us at breakers. Look forward to our next open tournament here may 1st and 2nd. Have been working with CHBC our local tv station on getting complete coverage of the next event as well as picking up a major sponsor to help raise the prize money from 7500. to 10,000. this time. Glenda will be taking entree names for the next tournament starting on the first of april. Last time we had 82 players and this time we are looking to fill the field of 96.
RACK 'N' ROLL
