Who's going to the Crucible?

I usually go, but didn't get around to getting tix this year. So, who's going?

There really is nothing like it - it's superb.
 
Superb, my arse. If theres one game meant for tv it's snooker, watching it live is the pitts.

It costs quite a few quid if you can get the tickets to the matches you want.
You see less than on tv.
You cant talk.
You cant smoke.
You cant drink.
Call out "Higgins your scum" and your ejected.
Unless you live next door you have to travel.

Spose you'll give me some crap about "atmosphere" as the answer.:rolleyes:

I'll stick to watching it on tv thanks, but even then it'd come second to actually going to play a frame or two.

Oh ar ov bin every weah me. Went with er indooaws on hollydays round urope n went to Merica once but that was when i wus marrid. Since the Judge gid me parole 20 yaurs back farvist I'v bin was t Smevick once on the bus playin spot the white mon.

Theres no plase like um ah kid. With got Bonks's mild. Can yow imagin me gooin t Sheffield n drinking Whitbread and Stones slops then payin a fortune to get inta the crucible n finding thers only a couple of taybulls n them both booked up for a wik ?

Thanks, I would never have guessed that is what he wrote. As for which is better, I don't have a clue you will have to translate yours as well. I'm from down south, not a yank at all.

btw dont go to the crucible this weekend, you definately wont get a game there's only one table ! :smile:
 
Next year, i have been saying that for the past several years. However some things came up that made it difficult and accordingly I didnt go. However those things have been sorted and orginized this past year-no easy task.

Which means next year i'm there!! yay:smile::smile::smile:


And if its not my bag, i'll go do something else. I've been burned out on watching pool tournments live for years, I can last a hour at the most doing that, if I have to...

Because I havent ever been to watch snooker-so I want to see it once. There is no chance i could sit there for 17 days and grind it out. BBC does a great job and I do enjoy it on the computer or TV(when I'm in Europe).

I think the darts would be a much fun thing event to go to, I dont drink, however I might knock back a few there, that looks like fun.
