Guy from the old days I used to knock 'em around with had a Hoppe; plain brass joint collar. The Hoffe one looks like an ultra custom by comparison.

Yeah, I looked really hard at that one the night it went up. It looks like someone at some point "updated" the cue with a new joint and those fancy rings but the work looks dubious at best...
