Why are some sellers so Lazy, and / or Clueless?

This seller claims to have a Martinez cue up for sale, which sounds really interesting to me, but the problem is that the seller has what appears to be a 70's era Adam cue pictured.

I messaged the seller a few days ago, to let them know that the cue pictured appears to be a 70's era Adam cue, and they wrote me back a very short message to say something along the lines that they pictured the wrong cue, and that they have a lot of cues.

So, I wrote him back a few times, to ask if he will be updating his picture, but no reply.

It is a Zero feedback seller, so maybe the person is just not very internet savvy, nor savvy about taking decent pictures.

The Martinez cue just sounded interesting to me though, because I know those cues are very nice.

And, if that is the correct picture if the cue they are selling, then they should at least update their title and description, to say that it is an old Adam cue.

Speaking of that Adam cue, I really do like it a lot. But, way overpriced, in my opinion, even if it were described correctly.

He has zero feedback so I think you could guarantee this to be a scam listing. Not uncommon. As far as a Monte Carlo, the originals are well made, and I see the reissues advertised a lot as originals.

Thanks.

The Monte Carlo Adam was early 70's, right? They only had Adam stickers on them, right? Instead of an Adam inlaid logo I mean. I always thought they looked cool.

I think you have to remember there are a lot of sellers selling things they find. Part lazy and part clueless so both. Cues to one seller is treated with care while the others is throwing it in a box and shipping as if it was a walking cane.

Adam logos from the 70's were stickers. I have never seen it inlaid. The problem for identification is that after a refinish, you do not know unless you know. This cue has been refinished, so no sticker. It is also not an Adam Classic reissue.
Let me help you out a little... Adam cues the early versions of the Monte Carlo have mitered windows. (see pics) The sticker arrangement should be a griffon / lion, no wording. There should be two gold circular stickers that say the model and the weight. If you have all this, you have the complete cue. The cue in this thread, you can clearly see the differences.

This thread has both Monte Carlo versions. Notice the size of the decals, another giveaway for those that want to distinguish versions and time frames.
