I was just wondering why so many TOI threads have popped up in the aiming forum.
TOI has very little to do with 'aiming'. Basically one can 'aim' how ever one wishes & apply the TOI technique to pocket balls.
I know CJ advocates 'aligning' to the center or the edge of the object ball ( that's it / 'aiming') & then 'create' the angle needed to pocket the ball with the 'squirt'/deflection of the cueing inside technique, but that is not the only way that it can be 'aimed'.
CJ has a fractional cue ball to either the center or the edge of the object ball aiming sytem he introduces in is earlier instructional DVDs. That is more of an aiming sysem to me than what CJ is teaching through TOI.
IMHO TOI is a playing system that has very little to do with actual aiming. To me I think the questions & threads regarding TOI would be better suited in the Ask the Instructor Forum.
Just a thought. Yet here I am opening yet another one in the aiming section.
Regards,
