Why are there so many TOI threads in the 'Aiming Forum'?

I was just wondering why so many TOI threads have popped up in the aiming forum.

TOI has very little to do with 'aiming'. Basically one can 'aim' how ever one wishes & apply the TOI technique to pocket balls.

I know CJ advocates 'aligning' to the center or the edge of the object ball ( that's it / 'aiming') & then 'create' the angle needed to pocket the ball with the 'squirt'/deflection of the cueing inside technique, but that is not the only way that it can be 'aimed'.

CJ has a fractional cue ball to either the center or the edge of the object ball aiming sytem he introduces in is earlier instructional DVDs. That is more of an aiming sysem to me than what CJ is teaching through TOI.

IMHO TOI is a playing system that has very little to do with actual aiming. To me I think the questions & threads regarding TOI would be better suited in the Ask the Instructor Forum.

Just a thought. Yet here I am opening yet another one in the aiming section.

I'm just glad he posts anywhere. Really, where else could you converse with a former world champion. I know CJ is hawking DVDs so he's not posting strictly out of pure goodness. But he's already given away a ton of free information and videos. CJ also answers our questions, unlike alot of instructors that demand a fee to get out of bed.

Mitchxout,

I was not complaining about CJ at all. Just the contrary.

Personally I think CJ should have his own forum so CJ would not have to jump all over the site to post in threads related to him.

I was just pointing out that TOI is not even dependent on just one 'aiming' method & therefore does not accurately fit in the Aiming Forum.

As I said, I think the Ask the Instructor or his own sub forum or even the main forum would be more appropriate.

JMHO
