Why does Nobody Shoot the 4 Rail Anymore?

I watched a match between Danny Dileberto vs Ronnie Allen and they shot the 4 Railer where the 3 top Rails are used and the 4th being by the side pocket, then the ball heads towards your Hole...

I don't see this shot Much anymore by Pro players.

WHY??? Maybe because the Diamonds bank shorter???

It seems to work much better in normal pool room conditions.
....new cloth and dry tables can make it impossible.

Because if not hit perfect you leave a simple cross bank.

That's it....if you miss it long, you usually leave a shot.
....if you miss it short, you don't leave much.
New cloth banks too long

Danny Smith shot it a few times against Josh Roberts in their Fight Night match. He hit it perfectly when they each needed one ball, beautiful to watch. That humidity in Nolans seems to play great for that shot. He shot it a few times against Tony Chohan in their match too. Then again, what doesn't Danny fire at?
