there is a table (medalist) in my poolroom
that if you stand at the foot of the table and shoot a 3 railer from the right corner pocket the table plays like a billiard table where aiming at diamond 3 goes to diamond 2 and tracts to the corner
very nice but heres whats odd
if you now shoot from the left corner pocket and shoot at the 3rd diamond
same spin and speed
the ball goes 1/2-1 diamond short.....
if you shoot one rail cross sides or cross corners off that first rail (upper riright)the rail plays true

My guess would be that the rails are not parallel with each other or not square. I am not a mechanic so this is just a guess, but I did notice when putting my GCII together there is some room to manipulate rail alignment, and I stayed at a Holiday Express last nite so my answer naturally carries a lot of weight. What happens when you shoot a 3 rail shot from other side of table?

Table

The world is spinning clockwise, your shooting counter clockwise... You have to compensate for the world gravitational pull and spin...ever tried to swim up river??

Ok, JK'- almost had ya'
The rail bolt could be loose or missing and or the cushion could've come unglued and loose causing some funk when the ball rebounds off the rail/cushion.
Check the rail bolts.... If that's not it the rail cloth will need to come off to inspect the cushion for loose spots unless you have obvious loose wiggling-completely broke loose of adhesion from rubber cushion to wood rail.

Check it out and best of luck.

I'm going to assume you're not the original owner and don't have a complete history of past work.

Here's my guesses:
1) Nose height differences. The 3rd rail is where things go wrong/different.
2) Different rubber either Brand, Hardness, ....
3) Rubber not installed correctly or uniformly.
4) Rail cloth not stretched correctly or uniformly.
5) Loose rail
6) Adding to #1: Subrail angle incompatible with cushion brand.
7) Its not the table but the way you're seeing the CB and tip placement. Do the up down drill only use equal amounts of English rather than center ball, and see where the CB lands on the 3rd (short) rail. Should be the same place with left or right equal English. The issue of differences in applied English left vs right is common.
8) Different CB speeds.

i really appreciate you reply...
it was our house pro who noticed the difference
i have to assume he has worked out how to see the cue ball and put equal spin and speed on all shots right or left
