I purchased a Bacote Widowmaker w/1 Shaft, plays great, got a really good deal on it(the pawnshop owner never heard of it) It is #65, collared wood to wood, 3/8x10

Widowmaker

I met the guy... here in the Chicago area. Bert Kinister is the cue maker he also sells instructional videos... he makes very few cues each year... I think he is priced from $1000 up. would need more info on the cue, but i dont think he makes that many elaborate cues... simple exotic woood cues are his mainstay i think. Does that cue have his patented extension? If it does you can unscrew the Butt and a metal post makes it longer...

He told me that the President George Bush owns one of his cues... I thought that was quite ironic.

Can you post a picture? I was playing pool in the Chicago area and a gentleman asked me to identify his cue. The only information he provided was that it was purchased from the cue maker 10 to 15 years ago at Bumpers pool hall in Buffalo Grove, IL. It's also made of bacote with a 3/8-10 pin and interesting ring work. There are no id marks on the cue. - jjm

Thanks for the info. I think I'm on the right trrack. The ring work on some of those cues is almost identical to the cue in question. The only thing missing is a signature on the butt cap. I'll probably need to take some pics of his cue and defer to the AZ experts. -jjm
