Somehow, I'd rather play on a mini pool table or quit playing altogether than do this...

Pool Revolution is a great game, and you can download it from the Wii shop. You can play 9 ball, 8 ball, rotation, snooker, and puzzles. Essentially the puzzles are table layouts where you need to make all the balls in a certain number of shots. Some layouts are trick shots, pocketing multiple balls in one shot. The game is pretty detailed, letting you choose table style, ball style and venue. It also seems pretty realistic especially with some of the physics involved, and you can control tip position and cue elevation.
