This is the cue I made for Max Hoskin's Greco-Roman Collection. The cue is based entirely on the ancient greek mathematician, engineer and genius, Archimedes. Archimedes developed the water screw, which are used to move water and various other substances. The forearm of the cue is a two-flute arcimedes water screw made of ebony and silver. Archimedes also discoved the relationship between a circle and it's diameter, also known as Pi. Ivory symbols for Pi are inlaid around the joint. He was also the first to document the three classes of levers and the compound pulley system. All inlaid as pictograms in the butt. I used ivory and silver. The pulley system includes brass and copper. All of the text is greek. And infilled. The top of the wrap is Archimedes, the center of the wrap the years he lived. The butt is Williams 2008. Sorry about the two out of focus pictures.
