i am thinking about getting a willards tipping machine. i just have two questions about it before i drop a few benjamins on one. i know a lathe can do much more, but i really only need to do tips. i would appreciate feedback from you guys that have used one, own one, or have a friend that owns one.
1) does this machine do everything it says it is supposed to, and get professional results? i could half ass it with a razor blade and sandpaper if this machine can't do any better, and save a couple hundred bucks in the process. i wouldn't do that, i would pay someone $10 to install it, just making a point.
2) do laminated tips delaminate when installed with this machine?
please only respond about this machine, i know that a lathe can do much more, and i plan on getting one someday. if this machine is a good buy, it will pay itself off in no time.
