Willie Hoppe conversion

I know people do conversions with the brunswick titlists when they are one piece, but my question is do people convert the willie hoppe professionals because they are already 2 pieces? I think i may have an opportunity to buy one and i would like some info on conversions of the 2 piece cues. Also do they tend to be more or less than the 1 pieces in terms of value. thank you any info will help

You can convert a 2 peice but I'm not sure about which would be more valuable. Many times the amount of work done to it and the person who did the conversion add the most value. The type of wood can also add value... ebony is the rarest wood for the titleists so it's the most valuable. I think purpleheart is next followed by other hardwoods. If you're looking for someone to do the work Lee peppers does great work and he's very reasonably priced. He did the conversion shown in my avatar. He goes by lpcustomcues here on azb. I'm not an expert by any means but I hope this helps!

The two piece cues often have too small of a diameter at the joint and the wrap groove is often cut too deep to make them suitable for conversion. Warpage of the forearm is often an issue as well. It can be done, but these issues make converting a one piece more ideal.
