macguy said:I think Jake is right, this crosses state lines as well as is international as well as involves a zillion legal issues, it may even be precedent setting if it goes full circle. Even the lawyers at this point are probably trying to figure out their options and how to proceed. This is going to be extremely complicated at best and when all is said and done, except for a few does not even involve that much money.
I would be leaning toward having the lawyers brokering the best deal they can and get out as quickly as I could if I was one of the players and call it a day. Any anger with KT or getting even has to be kept out of this, it is just about the money.

mark tadd said:at this point money shound not be at the top by itself . the players should have respect for themselves and the sport . i believe the sport of pool depends on this. the world will be watching and expect them not let them get away with it . and if they dont settle win or lose i think pool will have a little more honor and respect than before and who know what good may come out of it one person or more on the outside take notice of all this .
there may be people that might try to make it happen again . i mean they didnt have to put up so much money for us to make it work if it was going to work . they could have had 500,000 prize pool and worked their way up and who knows what would have happened . i think it can still be done if the right people take intrest.
ive said in the beginning that if this fails it will have a devatating affect on pool players great and small . i was going to give it my all and start playing seriously . but now if it goes back the way it was there is no reason to make life changes at least for me . so dont let pool suffer another blow players . you have dedicated many years and much time and practice to let this go unchecked . i think there is a lot more at steak than just money if you look a little closer . and i think it will benefit you all in the long run . you will be happier if you stick with it cause you deserve it . just another reason pool realy is the toughest sport on earth
just my opinion as a ex-pool player![]()
macguy said:That sounds all well and good but from any legal stand point, it's only about the money. This will, be as far as the players are concerned, just a civil matter and the money is the only thing involved. I hope you don't think lawyers are getting involved because they have some idealistic idea about the future of pool? You have to be realistic.
