I hear a lot of opinions on the forums about which joints have good hits, but there's a recent post I was looking at that stated that when some guy taped up the joint most people couldn't tell what it was by feel. I was wondering if anyone thinks a particular type of wood has a good feel to it and if anyone can tell. For instance, if you had different sneaky's or one piece cues one cocobola, another ebony, another of some other exoitc wood would you be able to feel the difference in hit? If you're getting a sneaky built, would you pick any particular wood for the hit?
Lastly is there any one type of wood people like most? I see purpleheart on titlist desired, but is this because of hit, or is it because of it's rarity?
