Now that I have a table at home, I use the pool halls to (1) engage in competition (2) use numerous tables in order to force myself to acclimate to various table conditions and today (3) I worked out on a snooker table with pool balls.

Every ball I made on the snooker table required flawless form & maximum concentration.

I would appreciate comments & suggestions.

and your objective is?

Obviously, improvement. (1) increase my strength in competition (2) improve my technique (3) I'm hoping that the longer shots & smaller pockets on the snooker table will make playing pool eg. 14.1,8 ball, 9ball on the 9' pool table easier. I'm doing drills on the snooker table which require me to make shots at the maximum diagonal distance so that I hope to be less intimidated by long shots on the 9'. The longer distances & smaller pockets also force me to confront minor errors which I get away with on the 9' pool table.

Obviously, I want to achieve a degree of CB control which will leave me with easy shots, but this is not always possible, especially if my opponent leaves me "safe."

snooker love that game.

Always good to try different games on different tables. If I had room for a another table it would be a snooker table. A friend and I used to play on one on Friday afternoons for three or four hours. I would go out on Friday eve and on the bar tables was so good I could split atoms.

I really wish there was somewhere close that had a snooker table. The only room close by that had one was about 30 miles away and the place just closed up :(. I used to go up and play golf with some of the older guys and I can say three things about it. It helped me with my banks, kicks, and shot placement. I used to go from there up to another room and get on the bar boxes and OMG i couldn't miss!!!!!!! Good times
