Im sorry if there is a thread on this already but i couldnt find one. I would like to start out by saying next to the mosconi cup this is my favorite tournament to follow all year.

Now can someone please explain to me how corey duell and mike dechaine are the best choices to play for USA. I mean nothing against Mike and Corey but there is better players out there to play for the USA.

Sorry all I just needed to say that.
 
Personally, I`m glad to see a new guy like Mike Dechaine get a chance on the international stage. We need some new blood on the US side. Except for SVB we have few, if any, Americans willing to mix it up with the international stars. He is a heck of a player so lets see what he can do.
 
Personally i think there should be more than one team representing the USA. I think Dechaine deserves it, but i think SVB should be there with him.
 
There are certainly any number of talented players who could represent us. However, don't forget that Mike has had a banner year, including his win at the Ultimate 10-Ball tourney in Dallas. And, Corey consistently plays well on the Seminole tour and placed 2nd @ the US Open.

Although BCA might be trade organization now, they are still the sole representative for North America recognized by WPA. Based on the current BCA ranking, Corey and Mike are the top two making them the first choice to represent the United States.

Glad you posted this...was going to look it up.
This is the fair way of choosing a team...earned positions.

I feel the whole Mosconi team should be picked the same way.
...well. except for the captain...Nick Varner is a great pick.

This way, you have to support the pro game year round.

...and Corey and Mike are fine representatives

Not saying that Corey isn't a great player, just that they have two totally difffernt styles and type of game.

Just seemed like an odd pairing to me, thats all.

I hope they kick some a-double s !!

I was there in Manila last year and had an absolute blast.

Go USA !!!!!!!!!!
