would it be possible to retaper a cue to make it predator z-shaft like?

I shoot with a schon, and i picked up a 31 inch used schon shaft on ebay awhile back. Its too big around, and it has a funky brown ferrule on it......so i was going to get some work done on it. Ive been watching for a zshaft too...and then i got to thinking.......could someone retaper my shaft down in a conical way and basically make me a zshaft out of this schon? I realise it wouldnt have the funky lite predator ferrule.......but i like a smaller diameter shaft anyway, around 12.3mm.......this shaft is big because of the extra length, its probably 13.2 thru the taper. So if someone cut it down so it ended up about 12 at the tip, wouldnt i have something thats similar in design to the z? Do you think it would make it low deflection like the z? My other gripe with this shaft is its just so heavy, so im thinking this retaper would shed some weight too and i would kill 2 birds with one stone.
Also how tough is it to retaper a shaft, correctly......and accurately. The guy i goto is well recommended, but he just puts the shaft on a lathe and grabs it with different sets of sand paper. If you had a really precise taper you wanted is there a way you go about getting it.....or is it just kind of hit and miss?

It could be done if someone was willing to reset their taper bar, the best solution would be to ask Predator if they could help seeing they have access to a set up that's ready to go, I can't think of to many willing to readjust their taper bars for one shaft.

Find someone that can taper with CNC, and you shouldn't have any trouble. Your only problem will be whether the shaft is thick enough and straight enough to get the taper you want out of it.
