Ok, second test.

(hypothetically speaking, of course)

You're in the finals or a HUGE tournament.

The tournament is call-shot.

1st place is $40,000

2nd place is $20,000

Its hill-hill.

Both of the players have been calling the 'money' ball ALL set.

Your opponent is running out.

He gets to the game, set, match and title shot.

He doesnt call the winning ball.

He makes it.

He turns around and says 'I didnt call the shot. You win'.

Would you accept the victory?

WHAT WOULD YOU DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

(puts ear to the cmp screen)

No, I would not. Again, He obviously won & his focus was on the execution on the table & not with the technicalities.

What 'win' would that be for me? I just got beat or lost as the case may be but I did not 'win'.

Obviously the noble thing to do is to NOT take the victory.
If a player is honest enough to admit their mistake, then they
should get the win.

HOWEVER, and I think this is where a lot of you get confused,
if there is a referee, the players have no say in the matter.

The referee enforces the rules of play.

I don't know why this has to be said; perhaps because many
of you often play without a referee and don't understand that once a
referee is included he or she determines the situation not the
players.

Understand?
