WPA Stop Allowing Conflicting Events!!!!

The WPA needs to stop allowing events around the world to occur at the same time. Derby city, which is a WPA sanctioned event, is apparently running concurrently with qualification in The Chinese 8 Ball Championships. While I am unsure of whether or not Chinese 8 Ball is sanctioned by the WPA, I am sure that they are the only organization capable of stopping these conflicts of scheduling from happening. Pool is suffering enough in the United States without the fans being robbed of some of the top professionals attending the best events we have to offer. Anyone else sick of missing some of the top pros because the WPA has their head to far up their asses to suggest scheduling one of the foreign events a week later?

Not sure about the "Chinese 8-ball" event, but the WPA left it up to the BCA to name to DCC 9-ball as a point event (one of three delegated to the BCA).

I know about the BCA sanctioning, but the main point i'm making is that this isn't the first conflicting event to happen in the last year. The BCA can't tell any of the US tournaments to do anything, they are independent. I guess it goes back to the same old argument of who is going to step up and lead.

The WPA would only stop it if both events were paying for WPA sanctioning which would reserve the dates. Otherwise, you got one in China and one in Louisville, how realistically is this going to be avoided.

The bigger conflict is really the US Bar Table now having a conflict with the recently converted Pacman Cup in the Philippines to now be the WPA World 10 Ball. But how much overlap is there in players that would attend.
