Congratulations to Seattle's very own Kim Jones on a job well done. She defeated Julie Kelly 9-4. This is her very first WPBA event, being invited at the last minute when Joanne Ashton was not able to make it. Kim now faces Allison Fischer 2morrow.

Here are the results of the matches. I don't know the scores offhand since I spent most of my time in the mini-tournaments and not watching the tourney.

Wow, if that's true, good win for Megan Minerich. Tough draw for Melissa Herndon to have to play Jennifer Chen in the second round. Also, congrats to Kim Jones for a great event so far.

It's only 11am out there now. I think the brackets are up to date but maybe don't use the link in this thread-just go to wpba.com and the bracket link is on the front page or try this one. It's been working for me though yesterday for awhile nothing worked.

That's unreal Kim Jones wining two matches on the WINNERS side in her very first WPBA event which she fluked into. Even the best first timers usually lose right away though Miss Treadway won two on the winners side in her first and if not for some bad luck, coulda won three.

I dont think i have ever heard of Kim. I talked to someone who watched her match w Julie Kelly. She makes everything and barely worries about position, as if she was on a bar table- Anyway great job Kim whoever you are-keep it up!.

It's unfortunate that Jeanette lost early to Megan, then had to play Pan. Imagine if Pan defeated Allison and it was Allison vs. Jeanette so early.

Whoever wins this even will certainly have earned it. All of the final 16 look like they'll be tough.

I just realized that the top 7 players in the rankings are undefeated so far. I can't recall the last time that has happened. It certainly will be tough for the 8 getting redrawn.

I sweated the Rousey/Villareal match. Sarah was just awesome. Her cue ball control was exceptional, reminding me of that Allison.

Great job Sarah!!!
